Nowadays, there are many projects that are concerned with saving the environment. Unfortunately, only a few of the projects that urge us to “think green” (regardless of whether the project is devoted to fauna or flora) do their job effectively. I believe that today’s inescapable global situation is sufficient proof of what I am trying to outline. In this short article I would like to talk about the environmental project called REDD. It is an acronym for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation. REDD falls under the United Nations and is supported by the World Bank as well as by numerous governmental and non-governmental organizations. Furthermore, it is supported by organizations from the private sector, which strive to help tropical rainforests and everything that could be measured through biomass. číst dál
